Beautiful Handmade Boxes in Solid and Veneered Wood

Andrew Poder makes boxes. He has a natural affinity with wood, and is acknowledged by fellow craftsmen as being highly skilled in the production of all types of boxes with contrasting veneers, edgings and linings. His writing slopes are of particular renown.

Born in the historic town of Dorking, Surrey, he started his working life as a young carpenter. His love for working with wood developed from there to the highly skilled craftsman he is today.

Andrew is always looking for new ways to improve the beautiful pieces he produces in his specialised workshop in Dorking. Each piece is uniquely catalogued and only leaves when he is satisfied that the highest standard of workmanship has been achieved.

Andrew is a member of the Surrey Guild of Craftsmen. Prime examples of his work can be viewed at the following permanent exhibitions and Craft Fairs:-
