 | The Artist
Artist Judith Handford, her young daughter Georgina and husband Paul shared their Essex home until recently with three ageing cats, who sadly are no longer with her. Her work is dedicated to the memories of sweet-natured 18-year-old black and white moggy Daisy Mae, gentlemanly pedigree rescue Birman Mr Chang, and her beloved Pickle, stately tabby cat and companion for a day short of 18 years. |

| The Porcelain
This website features Judith's Kat Collection range of cute cartoons hand-painted to order onto elegant white porcelain. The porcelain is sourced and bought in plain white form. After it is cleaned, the designing and painting can start to take place. Once the paint is dry, it is fired - at home in the family's main oven! The porcelain and paint are both dishwasher-proof, but like all hand-produced items, they must be treated with care, and never scoured or cleaned with abrasives. Judith is always on the lookout for porcelain items that can be painted, or ideas for personalisation, and welcomes any suggestions | The Watercolours
Judith began her artistic career as a watercolour painter, and has sold her Kat Collection watercolour cartoons in many countries throughout the world. She and her husband have devised a unique and amusing alphabet in which each letter is shaped like a cat, and she displays this work at craft fairs in her local area. She has painted a wide assortment of names written in 'Kat', as well as 'Welcome' watercolour pictures, 'Good luck' pictures and even a sign for the 'Toilet'! Because each picture is painted to order, Judith can ensure that the cats pictured interact with each other according to the how the letters fall in the name being ordered |
